• Children aged below 18 must join the event with either parents or guardians accompany.
• Application can be submitted online, by mail or by fax. To avoid registration duplication, please register and submit sponsorship amount by sticking to either online or hardcopy submission methods.
• All participants must provide valid email address and mobile number when doing the registration. All correspondence will be delivered via email.
• Participants can continue to raise funds after enrolment. Invite family, friends and colleagues to support you in Virtual Dogathon 2021.
• Donation receipt will be issued for the minimum donation / sponsor donations of HK$100 or above. All receipts will be sent out within four to six weeks after the event.
• Upon completing the registration and payment, the participant is deemed to have accepted all terms and conditions of the event, the official rules as stipulated and to those that may be later introduced by the Organizer, SPCA (HK).
• SPCA(HK) is irrevocably granted the right to use any photos uploaded from participant page and appearance made into videos or multi-media recordings (“Recording”) and to use the Recording in perpetuity throughout the world, in all media now known or hereafter devised for any purpose, whether in advertising or for purposes of trade or otherwise. Participants must acknowledge and agree that no payment or other compensation shall be payable by Organizer in connection with the Recording or any use thereof.
• SPCA(HK) reserves the right to cancel the registration of any participants without prior notice and refund of the registration fee and donation if they have provided inaccurate information, failed to make the required payment, or failed to meet the registration requirements. SPCA(HK) reserves the right to contact participants by email or other means for any additional information required for their registration.
• Participation in the Event is voluntary and at the own risk of participants. Each participant agrees to absolve the SPCA(HK), and any sponsors and/or supporting organizations from all liabilities arising from bodily injuries, accidents, death or other losses during or caused by the event.
• All participants and dogs must ensure that they are physically fit to join the event.
• During the event period, in case of accidents caused by their pets, pet owners are liable to the concerned parties and will be responsible for all medical and other expenses related to the accident.
• SPCA(HK) reserves the right to close the registration any time, whether before or after the registration deadline specified, without prior notification.

• Participants must strictly adhere to all measures for preventing, protecting against, delaying or otherwise controlling the incidence or transmission of disease implemented by the Hong Kong Government pursuant to the Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance (Cap.599), its related subsidiary legislation including but not limited to Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap.599G) and Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing of Mask) Regulation (Cap.599I) and all related laws and regulations. Participants must maintain appropriate social distance during the Event, wear mask according to the relevant regulations, and only take off the mask in circumstances exempted by the relevant regulations. Group gatherings of more than four persons is prohibited. If any participant (Adult and Children) is prosecuted by any law enforcement agencies or officers, the participant shall be personally responsible, and SPCA(HK) shall not have any liability in relation to such prosecution.
• Participants must then input the date, minutes completed and upload the photos with participant dog in the Participant Page on or before Nov 30th. SPCA(HK) will NOT accept and verify the photos and records generated and uploaded after the said period.
• SPCA(HK) will check and verify all photos and records uploaded by participants. SPCA(HK) reserves the right to remove any said photos and ingenuine record and disqualify the participants from attaining any award.
• Participants are prohibited to upload photos with content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, violent, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful racially, or otherwise objectionable as determined by SPCA(HK).
• SPCA(HK) reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions. Should there be any dispute, SPCA(HK) reserves the right to the final decision.
• SPCA(HK) reserves the right of final decision of the event. Please refer to SPCA(HK) website and Facebook page for any changes or contingent measures of the event.
• If there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.

• Each participant can only redeem souvenirs for once.
• All souvenirs and prizes cannot be returned, replaced or exchanged for cash or any other products.
• SPCA(HK) will notify eligible participants to pick up souvenirs in person at the designated time and place after the event. Souvenirs can be sent out by SF Express upon participants’ request. All freight and charges will be billed on a freight collect basis.
• Participants who cannot collect or arrange courier service within the designated time will be deemed to have automatically waived their eligibility for redemption and will not be able to collect the souvenirs afterwards.
• SPCA(HK) reserves the right to cancel or change any souvenirs and alter the terms and conditions for the collection of souvenirs without prior notice. SPCA(HK) has the final decision on all matters concerning the souvenirs.

Upon successful registration, participants agree the following Disclaimer and this Event Rules & Regulations:

“I declare I will abide by the age limits set for the event and will abide by the event rules and regulations of SPCA(HK), The Organizer. I declare that I will not compete in the race unless I am medically fit during the event period and that, in any event, I will compete at my own risk. I accept that SPCA(HK) will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses, which may arise in consequence of my participation of the event. I also hereby give my permission to SPCA(HK) to use my footage and photographs uploaded to social media platforms during the participation for marketing purpose. I understand that registration fee and donation are non-refundable under any circumstances. I agree to the event rules & regulations before I join the event.”
